Fariba is our new representative from Prince George’s Community College and we extend a hearty welcome to her. Here’s what she has to say about herself:
“I hold a Master’s Degree from the University at Buffalo in Mathematics Education. I was a PHD student at Morgan State University for 2 years but unfortunately, I had to leave school and did not get my Degree. I Joined PGCC as an associate professor of mathematics in 2016. Previously I worked as an assistant professor for four years at Baltimore City Community College (BCCC). Also I worked 5 years as a high school teacher at Baltimore County Public School (BCPS). During the past years I worked as an Adjunct at CCBC for 8 years and PGCC 2 years and HCC 3 years. I enjoy teaching mathematics and love my job. While I am not at work, I spend time with my family and friends. I love to spend time in nature and enjoy hiking with my friends.”
