The annual conference of the Association of Faculties for Advancement of Community College Teaching will be held on January 9 and 10, 2020 at the Community College of Baltimore County – Catonsville, MD. Its theme is “Global Learning: Reflecting on the Past, Looking to the Future”. AFACCT is a faculty-run and faculty-organized association of full-time and adjunct faculties from the 16 Maryland community colleges. If you teach in a Maryland community college, then you’re an AFACCT member.
To register, click on the Registration link: https://afacct.org/conferences/current-conference-2019/afacct-2020-online-conference-registration/ (or just click on the “2020 Conference” title located on the conference website). The cost to attend the conference is $75 for both days; $50 for each day until December 15, 2019. (After that date, a late fee of $10 will be assessed; however, your college may not reimburse you for this late fee). In most cases, your college will arrange to pay for you. To determine whether, and/or how, the college will pay for the registration fee, contact (e-mail), your college’s AFACCT representative.
